We offer a variety of gardening workshops from local experts and staff instructors from March–December. Students are encouraged to participate whenever possible and many classes feature a take home item (like a mini terrarium). We hope to give you the techniques and inspiration to try new things at home, grow some food and make our city a greener and better place to live!
We do workshops on gardening basics like seed starting and garden planning. We also get into urban homesteading topics like permaculture and beekeeping. You’ll find specialty topics on the schedule too like making your own herbal skincare or bug balm. If you don’t have lots of outdoor space you can learn about container planting, and houseplants like succulents, terrariums and air purifying plants.
