Bring your friends and family and join us for our festive evening market! We are keeping the farm and the farmstand open late for shopping and have invited some of our favorite friends to join us. Philadelphia Brewing Company will be here and What’s on the Grill BBQ; chicken, sausages and hot dogs. There will be live music from Marion Halladay of Trickster Sister and Dirty Soap Blues Band (music starts at 6), and while you’re listening to the beat, there’s a whole host of local vendors ready to welcome you!
We’ve got a good group of vendors for October. There will be custom print shirts, totes, buttons, jewelry, paper goods, embroidered hats and more from Morbid Merch, Quick Brown Fox & Lazy Dog, Charmazing Inc., and locals Dave & Mary. There will also be woodworked appliances, glass blown ornaments and terrariums, wall hangings, art, handmade soy candles and all your tea-related needs from Grajales Fabrication, Simply Hecgardo, Canterbury Customs Co, Lady Gray Tea, Vessna Scheff and Valeriya Volkova Art to furnish your kitchen and home. Don’t forget to bring your canine friends when you visit, because there will be treats for you both from Melmos Dog Treats and MADcrumbs Sweet Boutique!
Soil lead testing: The EPA is coming out to do soil lead testing. You can bring a soil sample to have tested on the spot, it just takes a few minutes so you can have a beer while you wait! See instructions on how to get a good sample here. They will use a handheld instrument that analyzes by X-ray fluorescence. The results are generally comparable to laboratory analyses. If participation is unusually high and you cannot wait for results, you can drop off the soil and provide us with a phone number and we will get back to you. Find out more about this testing method here.
