Greensgrow Farms and the Free Library Present: Whole Goat Butchering with Kensington Quarters

November 8, 2014 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Registration Required, this event is at the Free Library. Michael Pasquarello & Bryan Mayer will be at the new workshop space at the Parkway Central Library for a nose to tail goat butchering demonstration. These are the folks from Kensington Quarters, Michael owns Bufad and Prohibition Taproom and know their way around the finer points of butchery. Learn from a master butcher what’s involved in breaking down a whole goat carcass. This demonstration will approach the goat from a whole animal context, exploring it’s versatility, and different cuts.

Instructors are opening a new butcher shop, restaurant and workshop space on Frankford Avenue in Fishtown. Bryan, former Head-Butcher at Fleisher’s Grass-Fed and Organic Meats in NY has been teaching world-class workshops and demos at Wyebrook Farms this past year.
